Named After a Father, Built for a Nation
Suldaan Foundation carries the name of a father who gave up everything so his children could have something. Our dad left Somalia so we could grow up safe, with opportunity, with a future that wasn’t limited by conflict. But he never let us forget where that safety came from. He raised us with our daqan, our language, and our deen. He filled our home with stories of a Somalia the world rarely shows us, a country of beauty, poetry, strength, and people who rebuild no matter what. He raised us with the dream that one day we would return, not just to visit, but to give back.
This foundation is everything he put into us turned into action. It is for diaspora kids like us who grew up between two worlds, who know that making it out was never meant to end with us. Our father taught us that those who are given safety owe something to the ones still searching for it. Suldaan Foundation is our way of honouring that lesson and building something that reaches back home.
